Amendment - AMS LAW S2234.2 limits the right for establishing licensed child care centers in residential units to those that can be accessed directly from the outside or through a publicly accessible common element.

HB1054 - Regulating Unrelated Persons in Common Interest Communities
Passed (no changes) by the Senate Law & Justice Committee on March 22, 2023. Awaiting action by the Senate Rules Committee.
This legislation will allow landlords in common interest communities to cram up to 1 tenant per 50sqft.

HB1636 - Concerning Foreclosure Protections for Homeowners in Common Interest Communities
Passed as amended by the Senate Law & Justice Committee on March 27, 2023. Awaiting action by the Senate Rules Committee.
Improves the notice required prior to foreclosure and increases the minimum from $200 to $2,000 in delinquent assessments or 3 months of assessments, whichever is greater, before proceeding to pre-foreclosure.
